This was an exciting ride along a very beautiful and rugged region.  The road was narrow and winding, with many switchbacks.
 

We stopped in Amalfi for an hour to look around the harbor and town.

There was a fair amount of traffic which resulted in a 5-10 minute gridlock in the town of Positano when 2 buses going in one direction met 3 buses in the other at a very sharp turn.  Traffic had backed up behind the buses so it was difficult for any of them to back up to allow others to make the turn.  With the help of some locals, it was finally accomplished and we went on our way. 

The views of such towns as Positano and other areas were spectacular.
