Septuagint
In the Jewish diaspora after the first destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BCE, many Jews migrated to Alexandria. By the 4th century they used Greek more than Hebrew. Therefore a Greek translation, called the Septuagint, was made about 250 BCE.
There are apocryphal books in the Septuagint which are not in Hebrew canon: Judith, Tobit, Baruch, Sirach (or Ecclesiasticus), the Wisdom of Solomon, First and Second Maccabees, the two Books of Esdras, additions to the Book of Esther, additions to the Book of Daniel, and the Prayer of Manasseh.
