We approach the hill town of Gordes.
We had a view of the nearby Village de Bories, an ancient hamlet of all dry-stone buildings. Not only the buildings, but also many walls were made of this dry-stone(no mortar) construction.
Another view of Gordes as we get closer.
The main square is dominated by this old fortress.
The rest of the main square.
Stone was the primary material for buildings.

The interior of the church of St. Fermin.

We continue on to Ile-sur-la-Sorgue.
