We arrived in Piscataway late Thursday
afternoon. Friday it was dark and chilly so we spent most
of the day inside, except for a brisk walk. We did get a few pictures
of the cherry tree in Mary's yard.
On Friday evening, Nancy joined
us from Williamsburg. Saturday was a beautiful day, with bright
sunshine and much warmer. We went for another walk along Mary's
street and the Bradford pear trees were spectacular. At the end
of the street were some beautiful forsythia bushes.
On a side street, more beautiful
forsythia.
Back in Mary's yard with the pear tree
and their cherry tree.
Saturday afternoon Kathy, Jeff,
Ryan and Alex arrived. Alex loved Lucy, the McKinnon's cat.
Ryan and William both have Game Boys and were soon playing with those.
The weather was nice so everyone went outside to play down at the creek.
There was time for pictures of Grandpa with the Zabel boys.
Alex also enjoyed playing on the slide.
Then back inside for a snack where Alex loved the chips and salsa.
Saturday evening the children ate first.
Easter Sunday some of the family went to the Easter service at the
Princeton University Chapel. There were activities in the afternoon for all
and a great family dinner in the evening. Afterward people were
just sitting around.
Monday was a shopping day for the girls while the boys stayed home.
Monica and Allison got new dresses, which they modeled for us.
On Tuesday morning we took Nancy to the train station for her train
back to Williamsburg. Kathy and Jeff and the boys left at
noon for their drive back to Boston and later in the afternoon we drove
the the airport for our return flight to San Diego.
