In the morning we enjoyed a 3 hour cruise on the Brienzerzee, one of the two lakes on either side of Interlaken.
The cruise was over at noon and it was such a beautiful, clear day that we decided to go to First by cable car and we are happy we did. It was a perfect day at that elevation (7111 ft).

The next two photos are after arriving at the top of the lift and hiking a short distance above the building there.
From there, we could see the houses in the valley below in Grindelwald, about 4300 feet below. It was from there we began the ride on the cable car.
The views from the terrace of the restaurant were spectacular, a 180 degree view of the mountains.
We spent over an hour on the terrace enjoying the views - and the beer.
This was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip for us and one of the main reasons we had come to Switzerland.
