On the way to the Dolomites, our bus stopped in Verona for an interesting visit.  We started a walking tour of the city at the Roman arena, built in the first century.

We then walked up a busy city street to a square close to Juliet's balcony and statue. 

Some of us walked to the Roman bridge and saw the ruins of a Roman theater across the river.

  

On to Alpe di Suise.
