When we got to Les Baux, it was pouring and we sat in the bus while Patrick figured out what we should do. While waiting there we were serenaded by a song Ludo played-"It's Great To Be A Belgian." If you really want the lyrics, they are at this site. From there you can also download an mp3 file to hear it.
While waiting, we also had a toast for Jack and Rose who were celebrating a wedding anniversary that day.
Patrick was able to make arrangements to have our dinner at the restaurant a bit earlier than orinally scheduled and we were told we could wait in a covered terrace until they were ready to serve the meal. Patrick bought a round of drinks and we had a good time.
Patrick even taught us eight or more verses of "Alouette, gentille Alouette" .
While we were waiting in the terrace, it continued to pour and formed a waterfall on the steps just outside the terrace.
When the dinner was served, it was in a large room with one long table for our group.
The main course was either duck or salmon and both were very good.
After dinner we had a quiet ride back to Arles.
On y va to the Abbey of Thoronet.
