One of the highlights of the trip was the opportunity to have dinner with Elizabeth's relatives. Cornelis De Jong and Elizabeth are second cousins since they have a common great-grandfather. We met the De Jongs and their daughter Marian for drinks at a cafe.

After catching up with some family news, we walked a short distnace to an Indonesian restuarant.

For our rijstaffel dinner we were served over 20 different dishes, giving us a great variety of food.

For the curious, we were not able to eat all the food. It was delicious and it was a pleasant evening with good conversation.

After the week in Amsterdam, we took the train to Paris. Our first day there we went to Chartres.
