Winetasting

A short bus ride took us to the area outside Beaune which had many vineyards. We soon approached the Chateau De Rully where we were to have our winetasting.

This was the interior coutyard of the chateau.

Patrick introduced us to the Countess, Madame De Ternay.

She invited us in to her kitchen for some winetasting of two white wines and one red.

Patrick assisted by giving us some fundamentals of winetasting.

We ended our visit to Chateau De Rully with a wonderful picnic which Sabine had prepared from food she had bought at the market that morning. There were 3 kinds of sausage, three kinds of cheese, 2 kinds of pate, olives, tempanade, and many other foods including a good selection of wines and desserts.

One last memory of this occasion is this picture of Madame De Ternay and her granddaughter.
